I recently came across a large collection of mine names in Alaska. Names containing “Treasure”, “Rich”, “Jumbo”, “Bonanza”, etc are quite popular as a way to entice investors, but here are a few less enticing and perhaps more descriptive mine names!

I realize this was posted a long time ago and somebody else probably took on the name. As far the 1980s gold mine: Double D Mining Co., it has nothing to do with women. It was named after our Dad and myself (both names started with D) and then when my brother was born and given a D name, Dad said it was to represent us. So there ya have it.
